Pink Dawn Chitalpa
‘Pink Dawn’ is a fast‑growing, summer‑blooming ornamental tree valued for its long flowering season, drought tolerance, and clean, upright form. From late spring through early fall, it produces soft pink, orchid‑like trumpet flowers in large clusters, creating a showy, tropical look that thrives in dry, hot summers. Blooms attract bees and hummingbirds, adding movement and color to the landscape. Foliage is narrow, bright green, giving the tree a light, airy texture. Growth is typically rounded to vase‑shaped, maturing around 20–30 ft tall and 15–20 ft wide, making it ideal for patios, driveways, and sunny garden focal points. A hybrid between Catalpa and Chilopsis, it combines cleaner branching, fewer seed pods, and better drought performance than either parent.
