Sitka Spruce
The Sitka Spruce is a large, fast-growing, coniferous evergreen tree that can reach heights of up to 230 feet, with a trunk diameter ranging from 16 to 22 feet. It is the largest species of spruce, the third tallest conifer species globally, and the fourth largest conifer overall. The bark is thin, brown or purplish-grey, and breaks into small scales. The needles are yellowish-green to bluish-green, stiff, and very sharp.
