Arctostaphylos uva-ursi – Kinnikinnick

Arctostaphylos uva-ursi is an evergreen,creeping shrub that is useful as a groundcover. Small,dark-green,leathery leaves are adorned with pretty clusters of white-to-pink flowers in spring. Glossy berries appear in summer and darken to red in the fall. This adaptable plant grows well in poor soils and is drought,salt and wind tolerant.
