Calocedrus decurrens/Incense Cedar

This large evergreen conifer features a narrow, columnar shape and is prized for its tall, majestic form and aromatic wood. Its reddish-brown, deeply furrowed bark adds to its visual appeal. The foliage consists of scale-like leaves arranged in dense, fan-like sprays that emit a pleasant fragrance when crushed. Small cones, less than an inch long, add to its charm.
