Rhamnus purshiana – Cascara

Rhamnus purshiana is a deciduous tree or shrub with a shrubby habit. Green leaves in the spring and summer turning to yellow-orange in the fall. Small,green to yellow flowers in the spring are followed by small black fruit that is attractive to birds. A very adaptable plant that will tolerate sun or shade.
