This evergreen shrub has an irregular growth habit. The shiny dark green leaves are small and leathery. Small, urn-shaped flowers appear in spring, although it will not fruit as profusely if grown in shade. The edible berries appear by late summer. This plant is highly adaptable and can be grown in full sun to deep shade.
